LICENSED CONVEYANCERS ARE NOW
RECOGNISED IN THE STATE OF VICTORIA TO
UNDERTAKE LEGAL WORK RELATING TO
CONVEYANCING MATTERS
LICENSED CONVEYANCERS HOLDING A FULL UNRESTRICTED LICENCE:
- Can provide legal advice in Conveyancing matters
- Can operate and maintain a General trust account
- Are Specialists in Conveyancing
- Only handle Conveyancing matters
- Are more accessible to clients..... they are not called away to Court, etc.
- Answer your phone calls
- Can answer your legal questions
- Can advise what Government benefits are available to you
- Don't have Secretaries/Personal Assistants/Clerks handling the files
- Are covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Have prescribed Rules of Professional Conduct
- Have Regulations requiring continuing Professional Development
- Must provide a Costs Disclosure to clients upfront
- Must have a Licensed Conveyancer in the office at all times
- Must produce their Licence on request
